CARLA FERRELL, MUSIC SUPERVISOR

Carla B. Ferrell was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Prairie View A&M University. Carla has worked in radio in Houston, Chicago, New Orleans, and New York. In 2005, she joined The Steve Harvey Morning Show as Program Director and Co- Host where she currently works daily to create morning drive entertainment featuring music, compelling content, sidesplitting humor, current events, topical stories, and community issue. Carla has garnered numerous radio programming industry awards: The National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment (NABFEME) named her one of the “Ten Most Influential Women in Radio” and she won the 2020 Gracie Award National Radio Co-Host Winner from The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation. In her personal life, Carla's greatest influence does not come from her job or the A- List of celebrities that she has worked with, she draws inspiration from her faith in God, her family, and consistently using her unique platform to help make a difference in various community service projects. She and her family are members of Jack And Jill Of America, Incorporated. Carla is also a tireless Breast Cancer Awareness advocate in loving memory of her mother- Patricia Ann Boatner.
